The Stoa was a classical portico. It was a site of philosophical discussion, promoting wisdom as a spontaneous experience rather than as a formal credentialing system.

Inspired by the Stoa, we’ve built a digital platform devoted to the formation and cultivation of persons through the arts. We promote the education of the heart.

Stoa works through lectures, texts, artistic materials, and disciplined practices that invite participants to slow down, clarify their vision, and take responsibility for how they see and act in the world. Its concern is formation before application: who one is becoming before what one produces.
